Belle Maison in Messanges
The house was built in 2006. It stands in 3,400m2 of garden. It is of individual design with lots of glass and is open plan. It has a wrap around terrace and is in the middle of a fantastic forest garden surrounded by wildlife with owls, squirrels, bats, hawks, deer sometimes, rabbits. The nearest road is some way away, so it is safe for children to roam and play.
The house is easily accessible for wheelchairs and prams. 3 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms upstairs and 1 double down + bathroom. The main bedroom has a kingsize bed with small child’s bed, plus room for a travel cot (provided). The downstairs double room is also large enough to accommodate a travel cot and/or a small bed. The house t sleeps 8 adults. There is an additional child’s bed and travel cot.The sandy surf beach is a 5 minute drive or 20 minute cycle ride. It takes about 35 minutes to walk there. There is a great beach restaurant at Messanges beach, but no other shops or bars, so very little commercialisation. There are safe lakes nearby for children to swim. Golf if you like, kayaking and archery. There are miles of cycle paths through the forest. Also great for running or walking along. The house has a table tennis table, TV, tree swing and free bikes – 3 adults, 1 teenager and 2 children’s. Bike hire is also available nearby. There are also two child seats for the cycles. We also have an inflatable canoe.The village of Messanges is lovely. Not too big, but enough going on and there are larger towns nearby. There is an outdoor pool in the village and a small library/media centre. Three lovely restaurants and a hotel bar. Bed linen is provided.
